absolutely totally amazing
Um...what are you guys doing on Thursday? You might need to cancel whatever plans you have after I show you this amazing trailer. I am not ashamed to admit that Anders and I have our DVR set already because movies like this just don't come around that often.

proud to be from u2o!
Our friends, Pat and Laura, came over on the 4th and we attempted to take pictures with sparklers. The point was to spell out USA, but, well...
That's a little better...
This was sort of a last minute idea, and we ran out of sparklers before we could really perfect the shot. We'll get em' next year! It was so fun, though. U2O had me literally on the floor laughing. Ha!

two reasons to celebrate
It may be the 4th of July, but it's also my Dad's 60th (!!) birthday! Happy birthday, old man. You rock cowboy boots with a suit better than anyone. Love you!
(this picture reminded me of a hilarious tumblr...Dads are the original hipsters. Ha!)

sunday funday
Just a few random pictures from our Sunday. It was a hot one! We spent the morning at the Fremont Sunday Market and then the Ballard Farmer's Market, but then we went home before the afternoon sun hit and took naps underneath a fan. Seattlites aren't used to these super hot temperatures (I heard it hit 90!) and very few people have air conditioning. This is not me complaining, though.
The hottest dog that ever did live. She won't sleep anywhere but the cool floor these days.
We got these crazy traditional (?) Japanese waffles in Fremont that are shaped like fish and come filled with all kinds of stuff. Ours had bacon and cheese because, duh.

Hot days make us think of cold beer, so we made homemade beer (using this kit my Mom bought us for Christmas a while ago). We can't wait to see how it comes out (the whole process take a few weeks to a month).
